Worsted Weight Yarn
G Hook
Gauge: 3 dc= 1 inch
Rd. 1 Ch. 3 (does not counts as a dc). 12 dc 3rd ch. from hook and join to 1st dc. (12 dc)
Rd. 2 Ch. 2, 2 dc in same stitch, 2 dc in each stitch around and join to 1st dc. (24 dc)
Rd. 3 Ch. 2, 2 dc in same stitch, 1 dc in next stitch around and join to 1st dc. (36 dc)
Rd. 4 Ch. 2, dc in each dc around and join to 1st dc. (36 dc)
Rd.5-7 Repeat row 4, do not fasten off after round 7 (36 dc)
1st ear flap:
Row 1 Make sure right side of hat is out with seam facing you, ss to the left 3 times, ch. 2 (not a dc), dc in same dc
as chain 2, dc in the next 7 dc. (8 dc)
Turn and ch. 2
Row 2 DC dec 1st 2 dc, dc in the nect 4 dc, dc dec last 2 dc. (6 dc) Turn and ch. 2
Row 3 Dc dec in the 1st 2 dc, dc in the next 2 dc, dc dec in the last 2 dc. (4 dc) Turn and ch. 2
Row 4 Dc dec twice (2 dc) ch.2 and turn
Row 5 Dc dec last 2 dc togther and fasten off. (1 dc)
2nd ear flap:
With front side facing you count to the left 11 dc and join with a ch. 2 and repeat 1st ear flap. Do not fasten off, sc
in last dc, chain 30, 3 sc in each ch (curly Q made), sc evenly around edge of hat to point of 2nd ear flap hat, repeat 2nd
curly Q, sc evenly to 1st ear flap hat, fasten off and weave in ends.
Scarf:
Row 1 Ch. 30, 3 sc in 2nd ch. from hk and in each stitch across (curly Q made) ch 3, 3 dc in 3rd stitch of ch. 3. (3 dc)
Turn and ch. 2 (not a dc)
Row 2-43 dc in each dc across. (3 dc) Turn and ch. 2
Row 44 Dc dec all 3 dc, ch. 30, 3 sc in 2nd ch. from hook and in each ch across, join to scarf. Fasten off and weave in
ends.
